On Friday, August 13, Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru held a meeting with a number of the county's women leaders from the grassroots. According to the county boss, the meeting was all about development and politics but it later turned into a typical party when the leaders decided to let themselves loose.

The APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena made the call on Friday in a reaction to Mbakas call for President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over the growing insecurity in Nigeria. It will be recalled that Mbaka earlier noted that President Buhari has failed the country woefully, hence he should resign or face impeachment.
