Some news outlets reported on Monday that the former Osun governor was attacked and shot at by hoodlums during a political event in Osogbo. But the state police spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, in a statement issued on Monday said that there was no such incident in the state as reported by some media platforms.

The new development was disclosed in a memo dated February 23, 2024, from the Qatar embassy, addressed to Nigerias Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
