America’s Got Talent returned Wednesday night for the Season 17 finale, as dance group The Mayyas was announced as this year’s winner. They’ll receive the $1 million prize and perform AGT‘s Las Vegas live show. Host Terry Crews also shared the other results of Tuesday night’s vote, including the Top 5.

The Mayyas Win ‘AGT’ Season 17

The Mayyas, a group of 36 women from Lebanon, are officially the first dance group to ever win a traditional season of AGT. (V. Unbeatable won the second season of AGT: The Champions.) They’ve been frontrunners ever since Sofia Vergara hit her Golden Buzzer for them.

This isn’t the group’s first time winning a Got Talent show. They won Arabs Got Talent in 2019 after earning a Golden Buzzer. They later competed on BGT: The Champions that same year.

In second place was pole dancer Kristy Sellars, who showed off mesmerizing routines set against magical projections. Fittingly, Kristy teamed up with The Mayyas for a performance during Wednesday night’s results show.

In third place was country singer Drake Milligan, in fourth place was multimedia group Metaphysic, and in fifth place was country trio Chapel Hart. Interestingly, neither of this season’s magicians (Yu Hojin and Nicolas Ribs) made it into the Top 5.

The Finalists Perform with Famous Names

The two-hour AGT finale featured several performances from this year’s finalists, along with past acts, and some other famous names in entertainment. Toward the start of the show, Light Balance took the stage, and host Terry Crews surprised everyone by showing up with them.

Other memorable performances from Wednesday’s show included ventriloquist Celia Muñoz taking the stage with former winners Darci Lynne and Terry Fator, Avery Dixon performing with Trombone Shorty, and Mike E. Winfield leading a roast of Simon Cowell.

That’s a wrap on Season 17 of America’s Got Talent. Do you agree with America’s choice of winner this year? Who were you rooting for? Let us know in the comments below.
